Kaapsehoop village is on the Drakensberg Mountain range and is located round about 28 kilometer from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga. Kaapsehoop was one of the first gold mining towns that were established in 1882 in the old Transvaal. The gold diggers wanted to build a large “diggers” city but their dream was shuttered because when gold was discovered in Baberton, most of the diggers left Kaapsehoop and moved to Babreton.
Kaapsehoop is one of the crown jewels of the Lowveld and for those city people who wants peace and quiet, (mainly relaxation) our Lodge can offer you that what you seek!

Silvermist Country Inn is in walking distance from our lodge “Long Creek Lodge” and is also a part of the group, and offers a nice cozy ladies bar and restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and a supper cuisine.
There are a lot of things you can do during the day. There is hiking trails, bird watching and don’t forget the wild horses roaming freely throughout the village, there is approximately 160 wild horses wondering around.
A visit to the Battery Creek waterfall and The View Point is a must! It is about 45 minute walk from the Lodge.
